Day 10: Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana. Half-Bound Lotus Seated Forward Bend. (Even though my picture is missing the bound part…oops.)
Day 11: Reclining Straddle. This was the first time in 96 days that I didn’t post a yoga pic on Instagram. Mainly, because my phone had a very unfortunate dip in the washing machine. I ended up digging out my old phone to use, but with the news of Robin Williams’ death, it didn’t seem like an appropriate time to post a yoga pic. I took two days off from posting, and then ended up catching up. I did still practice every day though, so I’m still going strong with 119 days straight at the time of writing this post.
I’m so excited for this upcoming challenge. The goal is to be able to put your foot/feet behind your head (like pictures #27 and #29), so saying I’m excited is an understatement. I’ve always been able to get my leg up, but I have this crazy fear it’s going to get stuck behind my head and I’m going to be rolling around in pain unable to get free, so I put my leg up and just hold it as far as I can without actually putting it behind my head. Plus, I love hip openers because they really relax me, so even though there’s some tough poses, this month looks like it’s going to be a good one!
These challenges are hosted on Instagram by the ladies listed on the image above. They do each pose the day before, usually with a video tutorial of how to get into the pose. Search for hashtag #shesgotlegs for everyone’s pictures!
